Windows Vista Ultimate contains the features of the Vista Business and the fun of Vista Home Premium as well as the mobility features.  Vista Business is for small business users as well as entriprise users.  Yet Microsoft also has another verison called Vista Enterprise.  Vista Enterprise price has not been annouced.  Vista Home Premium is for users who want to enter into the digital lifestyle.  Create movies, working with music, manage household duties, email and internet are all apart of Vista Home Premium.  Vista Home Basic looks to just be for email and internet users and not much else.

I wonder if Vista is worth the price. For me it is too expensive for what it provides, referring to Ultimate Vista.

If I were you I wouldn't upgrade right away. I would wait at least 6 months before upgrading. I will upgrade for test purposes and to stay ahead of the game. I wouldn't upgrade to Vista on my main machine. Thanks

Worth the upgrade? Hardly...

I think 400 dollars is way to much but you have to consider that this the ultimate version. I am not a windows fanboy and had my share disbutes with folks here, however, i have done a lot of thinking and reading since then. XP is really not a bad os, at least the 64 bit version, even though it has some driver issues. I am really impressed with the server 2k3. it's probably the best os microsoft has come out with stability wise. And there are only so many vulnarabillities found because of it's popularity.

Ask any serious Windows Vista beta tester, and you'll get the word. Microsoft has packed a lot of positive change into the next version of Windows. It's the most significant update of the operating system since Windows 95. I've tested and reviewed every beta, CTP and alpha of Windows Vista going back to 2003, and the vast majority of that commentary has been positive.

This new operating system can only make users satisfied due to the new opportunities it provides. In time, users will will decide upon its viability.
