Wow!  If you have not heard or seen Google Spreadsheets please run to your computer and go to spreadsheets.google.com.  This is an incredible service.  Its like having Microsoft Excel in every web browser.  Google Spreadsheets is another tool Google is going to use compete against Microsoft Live service.


Google Spreadsheets has another Web 2.0 easy user interface.  I've used Microsoft Excel for years, and Google Spreadsheets doesn't disappoint.  It might even be easier to use in Excel.  I like how Google Spreadsheets fills every bit of space of your browser window.  It allows you save on to  your Google virtual drive and open at a later time.  You can even import Microsoft Excel files directly from your browser.  Google Spreadsheets also allows you to export to Microsoft Excel.

Google Spreadsheets isn't just a simple table that you can put data in column format.  You can do all your normal spreadsheet functions and formulas in Google Spreadsheets.  Please check this wonderful free service out especially if you are a private contractor or small business.  I wish I had tools like this when I was in school.
